Tidepool Discoveries

The tidepooling season is upon us. Let us know what treasures you find. If you email me photos I will post them for you to share with everyone. mluna@mcn.org

If you have any concerns about habitat protection we'd also like to hear about them.

School group stories are always fun to read about.

Thanks,
Michele

I heard that the John Klobas seminar was wonderful. What did you learn from John?

We learned that you could tell if a snail-like creature is a vegetarian or carnivore by the shape of its operculum, the horny finger-nail like disk that works as a door when it retreats fully into its shell. Round door: vegetarian - Oval door: carnivore
